theworldbeyond's Issues

Not compatible with sigma dimensions

The World Beyond currently uses :FOR[TWB] to modify the kopernicus node and sigma dimensions uses :FOR[SigDim], so module manager will apply sigma dimensions first. This problem can be solved by simply replacing every :FOR[TWB] with :FOR[aTWB] but I think that's a kinda ugly solution
还有顺便一提中文翻译我说不定可以帮上点忙,但介于我只是一个平凡的沙雕工科大学生,文笔肯定是不敢恭维啦

Translations (and Sciencedefs)

Re-arrange all current body names, descriptions, biome names and part related info into localization files. Under the modular structure, there should be a new folder containing the respective localization files in the core and every system. This will also make sciencedefs easier to add when they are implemented eventually.

Chinese Translation/中文翻译

  • Determine if planet names should be translated (most likely yes) Planet names will not be translated as of now
  • focusing on star descriptions and parts

Scatterer Config partially broken

After loading up a clean install of KSP 1.5.1 and installing Kopernicus, EVE, Scatterer, and this mod, the scatterer configs do not work properly. The stock solar system, and the sunflares work fine, but the water is black, the sky is transparent, and you cannot see the scatterer shaders from map view or space. I landed on a moon orbiting Paradise to show this bug in the screenshot provided.

Update checklist for 1.2

1.2 Checklist

  • 1 new planet for Wall
    - Also move everything on a really inclined orbit and give Nyarlathotep a polar ring
  • 2 new planets for Eon
  • 8 new moons for Newell
    - Adjust Newell's rings accordingly
  • 3 new moons for Sora
    - change the orbit color of Sora's moons
  • 7 new gas giants for Ascension
    - Put Q'uq'umatz and Harmony around two of them
  • Completely remake Zhuque
  • Completely remake Infinity and rrename it to Albion
  • Remove Cerberus and Baldr
  • Remove Bahamut and Heimdallr, and add a new planet in Bahamut's place
    - change orbit colors in the Paradise system, and change the flag of the system
  • Remake star coronas
  • Remake the first two aurora textures
  • Implement a base translation framework
  • Update all scatterer configs
  • Even more flags

Other goals

  • Nice looking diagrams for each system
  • More screenshots and mission patches (?)

Possibilities

  • Comet trails using Kopernicus Expansion
  • Replace Oblivion's ring with a proper protoplanetary disc using INSTANTIATOR
  • Glowing lava oceans for lava planets using Kopernicus Expansion

Many "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I created a clean install of KSP v1.5.1, and then placed the latest Koperincus, Community Terrain Texture Pack, EVE, and scatterer mods into my GameData folder. I then downloaded the TWB_Full pack and placed the "TheWorldBeyond" folder in GameData.

When I start KSP and start a new game, it looks like KSP never loads anything. I'm stuck at the black screen with the "loading" animation in the corner.

The KSP.log file is full of this message:

[EXC 19:52:55.011] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
GalaxyCubeControl.Update ()

I have included my KSP.log file here for your review. KSPLog.zip
