gamedev-2023's Issues

Repository Info Regarding Contributions

Hi!
In this repository only admin (@ThePhaseCat ) can approve pull requests.
To contribute, you need to create a fork, and then push to GitHub. To create a fork, just press the fork button in the <> Code tab!
image

After that you can create a pull request on the repository webpage (here, see the "<> Code" tab) and one of us will approve it.
We're doing this to make sure that uploaded code doesn't break the game, and so that we're all on the same page when it comes to the changes.

PLEASE READ -- .gitignore info / how to commit the right files and changes

Hey everyone,
There are a number of files that should (almost) never be published to GitHub. For Godot, all of these files are located in the .godot folder. This folder contains stuff that doesn't need to be pushed to GitHub (Editor Layout, cache stuff, etc.). This automatically won't be pushed due to the .gitignore file.
image

Any time a file is added that isn't in a .gitignore file/folder, it'll appear in GitHub Desktop. There are some things you can do from here.

If you want to push this file, there isn't anything more needed.
image

If you don't want to push this file, you can deselect it or add it to the .gitignore file! The reason you would want to add something to the .gitignore is so you don't have to deal with discarding it every time.

This is a pretty complicated issue, so if there's any issues or something isn't right, comment on this issue or send me a discord DM! Thank you for reading!

Jumping and Story Team Inquery

  1. I feel like jumping should be changed a bit because I found it a bit more fun last meeting before this update and I can jump half-way across the map in a single bound
  2. What should the story team be doing? Story isn't really needed for the minimum viable product so what should we be doing during meetings so we can aid in bringing the game closer to the minimum viable product?
