api_monkey's Issues

Should incorporate api controller helpers

Like:

# For wrapping render, serialization, header status, paging, etc.
render_json_api

# For render of errors including serialization, header status, ActiveRecord `errors` method, etc.
render_errors_for

We could also support the incorporation of standards like JSON API or custom built standards and allow the user to configure which format to use (both application wide and on a per call basis). The major concerns are integration with Serializers of different formats, should we implement them or force the API developer? I'll bet the best approach is to build one to two available formats within the gem like JSON API and Hypermedia. If the user desires something different, then there should be a clear workflow to extend or customize the serializers.
