Personal note on basic R tutorials for data science

Objectives

  • Learn basic syntaxes of R
  • Learn how to analyze data using R
  • Learn how to conduct dimension reduction (same in Python)

Key results

  • Able to install and run R-Studio in my local machine
  • Able to manipulate data with simple logics in R
  • Able to implement different dimension reduction techniques using R

Installation

Install R in a local machine

See Installation section in R Tutorial.ipynb

Follow this tutorial. Note that R needed to be installed locally first.

Usage

This repository is solely for personal use for excercise in Information Visualization course at Aalto University.

The content is adapted from r-statistics and STHDA-Statistical tools for high-throughput data analysis.
