Eris

A smash bros ELO ladder discord.js bot

/register <region> - Registers you to the database in order to /search or accept ranked matches

/region <region> - Allows you to change your region to the specified region. Also updates your handle in the database to your current discord handle.

/search - Allows you to search for a ranked match. Anyone can accept the match as long as they are registered

/leave - If in a match thread, it forfeits the current match and ends the game, leaving your opponent as the winner.

/dispute - Ends a ranked match due to a problem, this command will add a dispute flag to both you and your opponents profile when used. It will cancel the current in progress match.

/leaderboard [region] - Allows you to view the ELO leaderboard, to view a specific region you can type the region you would like to view after /leaderboard

/getinfo <@Player> - Allows you to view statistics about a specific player in the database. Please note that this command does NOT mention (ping) the specified player

/rules - Displays the current bot ruleset

/ping - Checks if the bot is online

Have the search embed in the main ranked channel be updated as the match progresses

The score should be visible from both inside the thread and outside the thread and should be updated live during a match so everyone knows the score

Convert admin commands to /admin with subcommands

/report, /reset, /init should all be like /admin reset (user), /admin report (user1) (user2)

Unranked players in leaderboard

Unranked players should not be displayed in /leaderboard

Battlefield is filtered out of ban list on row2 and row3 when small battlefield is selected

To reproduce:

Start a match and pick small battlefield if prompted to select stage, the next list will filter both battlefield and small battlefield but the subsequent list will not after selecting another stage

Bot usage documentation

A /help command or similar should concisely explain how to use the bot and be able to show relevant commands and such in a list format

Convert eris.js to utilize event files for readability

There should generally be a file for each client.on(Events.InteractionCreate, async interaction => {} in eris,js and they should be loaded in similar to the command files minus deploy script

Make matches recoverable from bot crash

I think the best way is to make a json file store matchStatsArray and checkInArray defined in helpers.js and used in eris.js instead of just using the ram

Implement a way to get assigned a tier based on current elo respective to the distribution of all the ranked players in the database

Tiers like Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Champion with champion representing only the top 5% highest elo players in the database for example then platinum could be the top 10% etc.

A player should be displayed as Unranked if they have played less than 3 matches ever

regardless of their elo, if they have played less than 3 matches their rank is assigned to unranked and they get a ? when displaying their elo
