png support is slightly brain dead.

Of note:

png file support is brain damaged... the render engine draws images with an extra pixel/line causing the images to be slanted at about 30 degrees from vertical. This is probably an "off by one error", but I have not spotted where the problem is yet. Using .bmp files works fine. To test this, make a 480x272 png file and call it logo.png. If this is placed in /AA/logo.png on the compact flash card, the image will be displayed when the analyser powers on. You will see the image is distorted. If you happen to resize the splash image to 479x272, it will render correctly. The problem also exists when viewing previously stored screen shots.

Use .bmp file format for /AA/logo.bmp and set bmp as the option for screen saves in the configuration option.

If you make a custom logo.bmp in gimp, make the file size 480x272 or smaller.
When you export as a .bmp, under compatibility options, you must check the
"Do not write color space information" option. Under advanced options 24 bit color works.

Github repository seems out of date now.

I'm continually testing your software but as of this morning I noticed your Github repository seems to have reverted to an older version and now I'm not clear on testing going forward. Can you please help.

F7Discovery.depend and F7Discovery.elay

Would you please consider adding these two files to your .gitignore file. I am trying to follow your github page but everytime I merge it updates my *.depend and *.elay file with yours. Also remove it from the project repository. This messes up my Embits IDE settings.

S21 screen improvement suggestion

Hi Wolfgang.
I have been doing more testing with with your release of the eu1ky software. I have a suggestion for an improvement.

I built a test jig to see if I could measure the resonant frequency of UHF 1/4 wave stubs for use in multi-band antennas. From my tests, this seems to be very feasible. See above photos of test jig and analyser screen dump.
I would like to add the display of the ham bands in dark blue as is done in the panvswr2.c screen. It looks like the function static int IsFinHamBands(uint32_t f_kHz) at line 520 of panvswr2.c could be made globally available and used in trackspectr.c to set some background colour. The coloured zone really helps when trying to tune things into a ham band.

RF generator screen...

I am working with the latest RF generator screen. It appears when entering the RF generator screen, a frequency is displayed, but there is no output until one presses on of the up or down frequency buttons.
There is a second oddity as well. When the FM or AM buttons are pressed and the rf output is on, one gets the modulation, but pressing the FM or AM buttons again shuts off the rf output. Another press, toggles the output on for about 1/2 seconds and then off again. The generator is mostly working, but definitely has some issues which can be detected by listening to the output in a receiver.
cheers
Lawrence
