tectonic-staging's Issues

Request for markdown package

I'm interested in using the markdown package with tectonic.

Putting the markdown.sty file in the current directory results in an error, that the \markdown command is previously defined, so there may be additional complications making it work with tectonic.

Thanks!

package marginnote not working correctly

Using the package marginnote with tectonic produces strange results. In the following MWE, the intended result is for 'Note' to appear in the right margin, but in the current version of tectonic, nothing shows up in the right margin.

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{marginnote}
\begin{document}
\marginnote{Note}
Main text.
\end{document}

I have also found other strange behaviour. In a more complicated document that I'm editing, margin-notes show up, but not in the margin where they're intended to be

Update biblatex to 2019/12/01 v3.14

The current version of biblatex is 3.14 2019/12/01

It appears that tectonic by default is fetching biblatex

Package: biblatex 2018/03/04 v3.11 programmable bibliographies (PK/MW)

Version 3.11 is not compatible with current versions of biber, so it is important to get a refreshed version of biblatex in the bundle. From the biblatex documentation

biber versions are closely coupled with biblatex versions. You need to have the right combination of the two. biber will throw a fatal error during processing if it encounters information which comes from a biblatex version which is incompatible.

As a consequence, I cannot (manually) run biber with projects using tectonic (unless I were willing to an outdated version of biber on my system along side the current one which I use with non-tectonic projects)

Add the package "expex" to the bundle

I'd very much appreciate it if you could add the package expex to the bundle. It's the most full-featured and actively-maintained package for linguistic examples and thus sorely missed!

Request for `firamath-otf` package.

The firamath-otf package is missing from the bundle.

Note that I have not yet tested whether this package works and behaves correctly and copied to the local directory (which isn't a great solution for me any way, but I will try at least for testing).
