clouddatabases-helloworld-cloudfoundry-examples's Introduction

IBM Cloud Databases and Messages Examples

A set of example applications built on IBM Cloud with Cloud Foundry using IBM Cloud Databases and Messages to store and retrieve data.

The repositories containing samples for each database and message queue. Each git branch of this repository corresponds to samples in a particular programming language. For example, when you click on Branch you will see there is a node branch, where all examples are written in JavaScript using Node.js. Once you've clicked on the branch, files will be presented that correspond to either a database or a message queue.

Trying out the sample applications

Clone the repository of the language that you want to use. For instance, you can clone the node repository by clicking on the node branch. Then select the green button Clone or download to get the URL you'll need to clone using SSH or HTTPS. In your terminal you can run a command like:

git clone -b node [email protected]:IBM-Cloud/clouddatabases-helloworld-cloudfoundry-examples.git

Once the branch has been cloned you can select the appropriate directory for the database you want to try out. Each database has its own instructons on how to provision and deploy a database or message queue and an application on IBM Cloud with Cloud Foundry.
