spardha's Introduction

Turborepo starter

This is an official starter Turborepo.

Using this example

Run the following command:

npx create-turbo@latest

What's inside?

This Turborepo includes the following packages/apps:

Apps and Packages

  • docs: a Next.js app
  • web: another Next.js app
  • ui: a stub React component library shared by both web and docs applications
  • eslint-config-custom: eslint configurations (includes eslint-config-next and eslint-config-prettier)
  • tsconfig: tsconfig.jsons used throughout the monorepo

Each package/app is 100% TypeScript.

Utilities

This Turborepo has some additional tools already setup for you:

Build

To build all apps and packages, run the following command:

cd my-turborepo
pnpm build

Develop

To develop all apps and packages, run the following command:

cd my-turborepo
pnpm dev

Remote Caching

Turborepo can use a technique known as Remote Caching to share cache artifacts across machines, enabling you to share build caches with your team and CI/CD pipelines.

By default, Turborepo will cache locally. To enable Remote Caching you will need an account with Vercel. If you don't have an account you can create one, then enter the following commands:

cd my-turborepo
npx turbo login

This will authenticate the Turborepo CLI with your Vercel account.

Next, you can link your Turborepo to your Remote Cache by running the following command from the root of your Turborepo:

npx turbo link

spardha's Issues

Popup- Common for Landing and Events

Complete design for popup

Take into consideration the difference in the amount of content which will be displayed for both cases and design accordingly

Background for each section

Need to set different images as background images for each function.

With this, need to also make a single component which will get the rest of the section as a different parameter

Need to figure out an appropriate transition using 3JS or any other way

Loaders

Add a loader for landing page font.
also add some delay in loading of landing page as 3d model takes some time to render.

Performance Issue in Excalibur site

The Excalibur site is having performance issues. Probable reasons being:
.> Memory Leak in Countdown module
.> Large image size
.> Using image urls

[feat]: move `middleman` to turbo-repo

Description

Currently middleman is a separate nest project, move it inside this project as a github sub module.

Another alternative could be to move the entire codebase inside this repo if vercel helps in easy hosting of backends.

Events card

Lower opacity cards are not looking so good

Detailed events from landing page

When a user clicks on the view all button in the landing section, a detailed list of events should be shown.

This can be implented as the image of the surface planet, with stars in the background and the detailed list of event coming from the backend.

bugs/improvements

  • Popup
  • footer @Moddynow69
  • about
  • teams

the view them all button will open a popup with detailed information about the events, category wise.

The popup here will use the same component as the popup as the landing page view more button

Sponsors

While making initially, take the SVG from here and have placeholder function which will render the sponsor from the BE

Guest Lectures

A simple carousel with auto scroll and scroll by buttons.

Can reference code for the carousel from here
