If the "skip segment" button is visible and you switch videos (by clicking one of the recommended videos), the button remains, even if the video has no segments.

This is a simple one:
At the moment, the "thumbs up/thumbs down icon" is always visible - also for videos which do not have skip segments at all.
I think it might be a good idea to hide that feedback completely if a video has no skip segments.

2. Play Yoasobi's "群青" (number 13 in the list)
3. Skip ahead to 5:38

Expected behaviour:
Outro starts at 5:40 so what should happen is that sponsorblock would skip that part and play the next video as intended. However, when the video reaches that mark, it goes to the next track but skips until the end of that 2nd track

Attach images or videos or logcats in case of crashes if possible. These can help solve the issue.

I don't know if stops after some vids, after some time or what else, but after a while it just stops working.
I need to really close the app with the X and reopen it to make it work.
Can somebody fix this?

Sometimes important parts of video are mislabeled as an ad so it would be nice if there was a toggle on video overlay to stop skipping ads

When try change dont save settings and go back to original.

With the web extension there's an option to unskip a segment if you wish but i don't see any way to do this in vanced.

Checks both ryd and sb api status and display (Online/Offline) in their respective settings. this is to prevent confusion for some people.

If you don’t know what I mean, previews are saved on Sponsorblock’s desktop version even if you don’t select a category allowing you to skip certain segments that you just don’t want to see regardless of the rules. It’s a shame that this function doesn’t exist in the version on YouTube Vanced and I’d love to see that changed.

Instead of having the segment adding icon sit there on the video player UI, how about putting a setting for it here :

You could also add the General SponsorBlock settings in that menu too. It would be convenient.

If you full screen a video and then drag up from the bottom (showing the recommended videos), the "vote on segments" button doesn't disappear, but overlaps the X. This doesn't happen when the recommendations automatically opens when a video ends.

I'm guessing this would be very challenging / probably not worth it right now, but if there's a lot of time segment data can't you train a ML model to automatically label videos?

Basically the title. An option to skip segments with flashing lights would help lots of people, since most youtubers don't include warnings in their videos.

I use Sponsorblock both on my desktop and my mobile. The ytvanced implentation syncs the number of my submissions and "you have saved people of n segments " of both my desktop and my mobile.
But the "You've skipped n segments" is not being synced with the desktop.

I'd like to suggest an option for YT music to skip over sponsored content and possibly noises or mute/noisy moments of music videos.

I always like to help the community and one thing I really like about Sponsorblack on the PC and the option to make segments, skip segments and report (if the person is a troll and makes a fake segment) and I decided to download YouTube Vanced on my phone and I really enjoyed the experience of using things that Google doesn’t prove on normal YouTube, but one thing I didn’t find on YouTube Vanced and doing segments, reporting segments (so far, if I’ve been stupid and haven’t activated any options that appear let me know here that I’m going to close this suggestion myself) so my suggestion is that only add segment buttons, report segments because I always try my best to help the community.

Could a whitelist be implemented for creators that you don't want to skip sponsors for? Sometimes they make ads equally as entertaining as the rest of the video.

I'd want a feature that allows u to change segment colors in the SponsorBlock settings in vanced.

I updated my samsung galaxy s20 to one ui 3 and after reboot my youtube vanced disappear.

1. Try to install again showing error: there was a problem parsing the package
2. Uninstall microg and reinstall works fine with youtube vanced music
3. Using sai installer, gets me the same problem as 1st one
4. With vanced manager i got an error saying: Error
   Installation failed because of the app conflicts with an already installed app. Uninstall the current version of the app then try again.

Advance:
INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE: Package com.vanced.android.youtube signatures do not mach previously installed version: ignoring!

If you ask me i think youtube vanced dosent support one ui 3 i think you need to updated it and i saw some more guys having same issue when i was searching about it. And i asked your support group about help they tryed everything but it didint work. And somehow i can download youtube music vanced but not youtube vanced. My microg everything works fine but my youtube vanced is not working. Also its [Non ROOT]

What if your listening to news or something like that and you want to skip a segment with music. currently there is no way except manually double tapping the screen to skip. Maybe you could make a new segment for skipping music?

Hi, when I remove the ui from the player in full screen, the fade of the vanced icons does not get along with the others, I leave you a clip. If you have not understood something or need more information, please let me know

Bug description
I have made a previous post about how the Skip segment button wasn't appearing sometimes in YouTube vanced.

I thought it was random, but since then, I have found out the exact cause of the issue. I added a comment there, but since that issue is now closed, I wanted to make a new report so I can make sure it is seen.

Basically, watching a YouTube short causes several features of sponsorblock to stop working, for example the skip segment button stops appearing, or the add new segment button stops working. (these are the ones I've found, there might be other things that break)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open youtube vanced, make sure that the options for different segments are set to show skip button in the sponsorblock settings.
2. Click on any number of regular YouTube videos with skippable segments in them, they should work without issues.
3. Now watch one YouTube Short
4. After this, the skip segment button will no longer appear on any regular YouTube videos, and the add new segment button stops working, if it is enabled.
5. You can only fix this by restarting the app, but the issue comes back every time you watch one YouTube short.

Expected behavior
Skip segment button should always appear when it needs to, regardless of watching YouTube shorts.

I think this should be a feature of vanced itself, and the time in brackets should be called "effective time" and should also take into account the playback speed as well.

For example: lets say you are watching a 5 hr video at 2x speed, the time in the brackets = (5hr - skipped time) / 2

What do you think?

I saw a video uploaded 3mins ago and it already had a long falsely marked segment with sponsor blocked content. It automatically skipped according to my settings. So when I tried to edit it, there wasn't an option to flag a false sponsor block.

When doing picture-in-picture (by starting a video and then switching to another app), the skip segment button still appears. Youtube's "Skip ad" button doesn't appear in picture-in-picture.

First off great work, really love this extension!

I was just wondering if it would be possible to add an option to hide the popup for manual skips so you can either use the key bind or a button in the player bar? I think this would be less distracting when watching videos where you you might not want to skip an intro for example.

When start time is 0:00, the preview button does not behave correctly

• Video does not automatically resume
• When manually started, toast for "skipped preview" appears but the segment is not actually skipped

Add an option to block any seducing content so that people who have quit or want to quit porn don't see it. It is really hard not to watch it once it is in front of you. Specially for people who want to quit porn. This type of content redirects us to porn websites. Just add an option so that anyone can flag this content and after a certain numbers of flags it gets blocked for users who choose to do so it. It is really helpfull for everyone.
And you know how hard it is to stop porn addiction. Even the people who know it is ruining them cant stop it.
People who are porn addict and dont have any problem with it might think that this is not a BIG problem but please think about others also. Its a problem and I know that.

And I want to thank you very much for removing those ads from youtube (that tiktok ads that are meant to make you horny). I have stopped watching porn after downloading youtube vanced.

I successfully downloaded the newest beta through the Vanced manager to see if the RYD is working, but for me it isn't. A guy in the subreddit had it working, but it also stopped for him. Also the layout is different.
I know it's still in development and I appreciate you guys doing that, I just want to know if it's something on your end or it's something on ours.

Make Micro G compatible with TV OS and also the YouTube Vanced and YouTube music Vanced so users can use Vanced on the Smart TVs.

Also making it compatible with Mi Box and Google Chromecast can also let the team to teach a higher amount of users.

On mobile people often double tap during a video to either go forward or backwards 10 or 15 seconds. But just after a skipped segment if you try going backwards then it won't take you to before the skipped part, it will only take you to just after the skipped segment. It would be nice if it would take you to before the segment.

An idea how to make the app better and more useful.

To make the functionality of creating different tabs and group tabs in different incstance. This functionality can make this application more great that nowadays. IMHO.

Description
when adding a SponsorBlock segment that would overlap another segment or a replacement segment for one that starts/ends just a few milliseconds too early or late, it is extremely annoying not being able to skip to the desired location to place a start/end pin there.

The reason this annoyance occurs is because the app will automatically attempt to skip any existing segment so a lot of the time it is impossible to accurately add a new segment.

I have and always had set to auto-skip. But from few days i noticed the orange section is no more auto skipped but shows up a button to skip. I was clear cache,try to change buttons and set again etc. Doesn't fix that so,could You help me with that please?
When orange section is at the start i see button but when I have phone in pocket and in some middle part orange section appear mostly the Vanced just pause the video

Since the sponsorblock leaderboard does not track individual user skips, it's a bit misleading to call it tracking.

Suggest renaming the Vanced setting toggle to "Anonymous leaderboard contributions"

And leave the existing description ("this let's sponsorblock leaderboard system know how much time" etc).

Steps to reproduce the error:

1. SponsorBlock turned on, Default settings.
2. Click on a video that has a active sponsorblock segment. In my current situation a livestream VOD/video intro getting skipped automatically.

• The problem occurs with any video, with a active SponsorBlock segment.

3. Pull it down "on the tray", but don't close the video.
4. Try open any shorts, anywhere. You can switch to "Home" or "Shorts", doesn't matter, as long as the video with the a Sponsorblock segment is in a "opened" state, shorts will get "skipped" OR some of its content gets skipped OR it shows different shorts under a different content creator OR shorts doesn't start at the beginning basically just bugs completely out.

Expected behaviour:

• Expected result is shorts not getting skipped completely/some of its content not getting skipped, as can be seen on the linked video when SponsorBlock is turned off completely OR Switching "Intermission/Intro Animation" from "Skip automatically" to "Show a skip button", with this setting, the problem doesn't occur.

• Sponsor block turned off

• Sponsor block turned on

• Different "starting" video, with sponsor block turned on, same symptoms

Quite a few youtube channels have extremely loud and annoying segments in the middle if a video that adds no value to user experience other than annoyance so if possible could that be implemented into sponsor block?

It says we are supposed to apply the steps outlined in smali.md, but it seems to be missing as I do not see the file.

Am I looking at the wrong place or is it not needed anymore?

When I play a video (no matter if sponsor block is on or off) the skip segment button is always there and I can't get rid of it. Please fix it.

Proof:

On nonroot Version 15.43.32 there was no problem.
On both root and nonroot Version 16.29.39 when submitting a segment it gives status 500 on both WiFi and cellular.
Furthermore then the sponsorblock button just dissapears and only reappears when closing the video player and reopening a video.

Sponsorblock cannot view How Many Time I Skipp

So This issue is since yesterday. SponsorBlock isn't working for me and for many users. Is it problem with api or something?
