It's pretty bare bones now but you all are more than welcome to have some fun with it, with bots, channels, emojis and such. Basically, my idea for the Slack was to have some real-time communication of ideas as well as project specific chat and anything else we might need. As I mentioned in the Project ideas issue, it would be very cool to have our own chat system, but until then Slack can work, or if someone has another suggestion please let us know!

Calling all front-enders, mobile web specialists, design gurus, project leaders, and creative thinkers!

Our first project has begun! The goal is to build a Github Pages front-end for our organization. Before coding begins we should get some design ideas presented. The following are needed:

• Sketches
• Wireframes
• Mockups
• Ideas!

I was thinking for when this list gets longer, it may be helpful to have people grouped by some common factor. At first I was thinking current title, but that may not be relevant since some people may be changing jobs or have skills that do not reflect their title.

How about grouping people by the nanodegree (or degrees) that they have completed? Something like this

OR

Include the NanoDegree as part of their entry

Who we are:

• Jane Doe - Android Basics, 2018 - Github

OR, another option entirely, encourage people to include a list of a few interests along with their contact info

• Dana Scully - React, Python, Open Source - Github

We need / want your project ideas!

Any and all ideas are welcome! All members have the ability to add their own repos to this group, either by forking an existing repo here or creating a new one directly. You can also create a team to help you work on your project! Don't be shy and ask for help!

Jay is working on our home gh-pages site. He may require assistance with it and should have a mockup for us to see soon. I currently have a Slack set up for us but how cool would it be to make our own chat apps? I was thinking cross-platform using PWA for the web (which now installs on Windows!), a native Android and iOS app, and perhaps desktop electron app?

Anyway, this is just the beginning and the sky is the limit. Let's see what we can do!

Looking for leaders!

Any member of this group is able to create a team. So if you want to lead a project feel free to start one. You will then be able to add team members and change access rights to the team repos.

I'm also looking for a few people who want to help lead and grow this group as a whole. So if you have strong leadership skills or this is something you would like to gain experience with, let me know!
