The code will not work in eclipse, gives a No class Def error for HttpUriRequest. Also the tkplauncher no longer opens the workspace correctly

error: java was started but returned exit code = 13

Hi there, I am following your installation instructions on my Macbook. But when I double click to run the TKP_Launcher.jar, I am getting error message as "java.io.FileNotFoundException: /private/var/folders/1b/g32zj9gx6ms1791m5c9zv608000gn/T/hsperfdata_minggap/eclipse_workspace.zip(No such file or directory)"

I installed Eclipse via 'brew install Caskroom/cask/eclipse-java' and Eclipse appears to be present in my Applications folder and will run when I double click it.

I am not sure why the validation is failing.

Hi, in th video, Getting started - for teachers, you show a folder named "completed" in src for the teachers which is missing in the download, i browsed the code here as well, it is also missing

I tried to follow the proposed installations on a MacBook Pro with macOS Mojave (V.10.14.1) and it didn't work (Eclipse Luna - linked in the description - crashed). After installation of the newest JDE (jdk-11.0.1_osx-x64_bin.dmg) and the newest Eclipse IDE for Java Developers
Version: 2018-09 (4.9.0), Build id: 20180917-1800, OS: Mac OS X, v.10.14.1, x86_64 / cocoa
Java version: 11.0.1 - I was able to run TKP_Launcher.jar

Build file paths in ant file in TKP src need updating to fix absolute path file reference to .jar files in project. Until this is fixed, to 'see' the *.jar files, right click the TKP project > Properties > Java Build path > Libraries and remove the .jar files (screenshot below) and re-add with correct path using 'Add JARs...' button

Second build error is to remove dependency on TKP.Source.Java project. Right click the TKP project > Properties > Java Build path > Project and remove the 'required projects...' (TKP.Source.Java) - also shown in screenshot.

Will update ant build file ASAP.

I've had two issues with school teachers who are trying to follow our install instructions and who did not check the whether their Windows machines were 32 or 64-bit.

They both mistakenly installed the 32-bit version of the JDK, because the Ninenite installer for 32-bit is listed before the one for 64-bit, and were subsequently confused by the non-intuitive error message.

I recommend that we remove the 32-bit installer from this repo and update our instructions as 32-bit machines are becoming an edge case for TKPJava intallations

As I shared on Twitter, we had a great time doing the Turtle for loops activity at a local High School. We don't have admin privileges on the machines in the lab, and our Eclipse has been installed somewhere other than "c:". This meant we weren't able to just double-click the jar to launch TKJ. I had them launch eclipse and open the workspace (the unzipped folder), and this worked on 1/5th of the machines, which was perfect for encouraging group collaboration, but it would be nice to get it running on all of the machines.

On the machines it didn't work, all we saw was a blank workspace. Very puzzling behavior for group-administered machines all with fresh windows and eclipse installs. It would be nice to be able to customize the launcher so it works with non-standard install locations.
