depinning_inertia_2024

Interface between data and FrictionQPotSpringBlock.

Getting started:

Install dependencies. For example using Conda:
```
mamba env update --file environment.yaml
```
Tip: use a new environment. Note: some of these dependences are needed, some are merely a convenience for running the simulations.

Install this package:

python -m pip install . -v --no-build-isolation --no-deps

Build the docs:
```
cd docs
make html
```
Open docs/_build/html/index.html in a web browser.

Flow: EnsemblePack: add restart and add option to extend the pack

Getting to a certain state can be very costly. It would be good to be able to restart, run more, and add to the pack

It would be nice to have an automatic check that https://github.com/tdegeus/depinning_inertia_2024/blob/main/environment.yaml and https://github.com/tdegeus/depinning_inertia_2024/blob/main/pyproject.toml require the same version limitations

FastLoad: write just yield positions

In fact, what is needed is not know if x is close to y0. So neither "step" nor "inc" are very relevant and can be left out.
Then it makes sense to store all states from a matrix.

This is not hard: a small Python function could do this

Define transition "avalanche" and "fracture"

Trigger allows extracting $\ell_c$ beyond which the avalanche is unstable. A question is if the dynamics change at this scale (from "avalanche" to "fracture-like".
