install's Issues

Webinstaller for sonoff basic issue

HI,

I'm able to flash sonoff basic (the original version probably it's called R1) with tasmota english or tasmota lite, but I can't connect to any of them via wifi after it was flashed (using USB).
is there any particular tasmota version that I should install on this for it to work? Thanks

contact only via discord

hey, i just wanted to share my settings for a "Steckdosenleiste" sold under the brand of HAMA in germany (4 schuko sockets+4usb A ports) and the best to get in contact was to open a discord account. f* discord.

HAMA Steckdosenleiste

socket relay usb -> GPIO14

Sale of devices with tasmota as part of a commercial product?

As part of my company's commercial product, it will be necessary to use a controlled wi-fi relay. I'm going to use Tasmota as the software for these relays.
Does the Tasmota license allow the sale of devices with it as part of a commercial product?

Web installer hangs when connecting to WiFi

Hi,
from time to time, when I install tasmota on an ESP8266 using the web installer,
it hangs when configuring the wifi...

I neet to refresh the page and retry connecting to wifi, sometimes it requires 3 or 4 tentatives.

This does not happen on ESP32.

Is this a known issue?

custom firmware

Hi, thanks for your work. Is there any way to choose and flash a custom firmware compiled locally for specific development?

tasmota32c3-bluetooth.bin is spamming my router with martians.

I'm not sure if this is the place for a PR on unofficial releases, but I installed the above firmware on a switchbota mini and started seeing martian entries in my router log. Everything works fine and I'm able to access BLE data via mqtt, so no complaints as to the utility of the firmware. dev eth2.2 refers to a subnet/vlan. I haven't hooked up wireshark to see what is in the payload, if any...........
This is firmware Tasmota 12.1.0.1

Aug 23 21:20:41 kernel: message repeated 17 times: [IPv4: martian destination 0.0.0.0 from 10.17.2.27, dev eth2.2]

Temp Shows Input in Fahrenheit Shown in Celsius With °F

I installed Tasmota-thermostat.bin in a smart plug with two AM2301 / DHT21 sensors added (indoor & outdoor). After entering THERMOSTATMODESET 1 in the console, I see it enabled with the temp in Celsius. When I enter TEMPFORMATSET 1, the temperature is still in Celsius but is displayed followed by °F. I enter a target temp as TEMPTARGETSET 72 but it displays as 22.2 °F. I tried SetOption8, but it didn't help. Any ideas?

ThermoSwitch
AM2301-04 Temperature 82.6 °F
AM2301-04 Humidity 70.8 %
AM2301-04 Dew point 72.1 °F
AM2301-05 Temperature 87.3 °F
AM2301-05 Humidity 62.4 %
AM2301-05 Dew point 72.8 °F

Thermostat Enabled
Set Point Temperature 22.2 °F
Current Temperature 0.0 °F
Gradient Temperature 0.0 °F
Duty cycle 66 %
Cycle time 30 Min
PI Auto tuning Disabled

Also, the sensors are on GPIO4 & GPIO5. The temps show fine at the top, but as 0° on the thermostat part. How can i assign the thermostat input as GPIO4?
Thanks,
Chip Stewart
