ios-restrictions-recovery's Introduction

iOS-Restrictions-Recovery

by Tarball
A GUI/CLI tool that can find the Restrictions or Screen Time passcode of any iOS device running iOS 7.0 through iOS 12.4.9. iOS 13 and 14 should work, but Keychain-Dumper doesn't work consistently on these versions.

Credit

Special thanks to ptoomey3 for Keychain-Dumper.

The code for the iTunes backup feature was loosely based on this GitHub project by u/Starwarsfan2099

Dependencies

All dependencies are handled by Maven.
sshj
slf4j
ed25519
bcprov-jdk15on
bcpkix-jdk15on
jzlib

Compilation/Execution

To run this program, you can either download the JAR from the Releases tab or generate one yourself with Maven.
OpenSSH is required to use all iOS 12-15 features and the iOS 7.0-11.4.1 SSH features. If you're using checkra1n, iproxy from libimobiledevice will work as an alternative. If you're using any other jailbreak, OpenSSH is available on the default repos.
The SQLite 3.x package is also required for the iOS 12-15 tools.

ios-restrictions-recovery's Issues

Can't run

When ever I try to run it it says
Error: Could not find or load main class RestrictionsRecovery Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: RestrictionsRecovery

Error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1

I tried running versions 1.0b4 and 1.0b3 but they don't start up on my computer for some reason.

So I tried running v0.7.3, v0.7.2, v0.7.1, and v0.7

After trying to SSH (I am running iOS 13.3.1 on an iPhone 7), I am prompted by the following pop-up window:

"Please make sure your device is unlocked and on the home screen"

I click OK and the process continues, it prompts me to put in Touch ID on my phone, which I do.

Then a pop-up window appears with the following message:

"Error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1"

I've tried everything, maybe it's something to do with the root device port/username/password? If so, is there any way to change it? I'm not really sure, but I would really appreciate some help with this.

ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1

I tried recovering a password from my girlfreinds old iPhone 5S; iOS 12.4.7; jailbroken with checkra1n; recovery tried with v0.7.1 and v0.7.3, but it always failes after fetching the keychain. Here is a screenshot, if you need any more information, just ask me.
