Welcome to the Hacktoberfest 2021 repo Hacktoberfest Spooks!
This is a spooky web project for those wanting to contribute to Hacktoberfest. The repo is aimed at helping beginners and first-timers submit pull requests and introducing them to the world of open source.
Please read on for contributing rules and instructions on making a pull request.
- No spam PRs
- All PRs must have a comment explaining the change
- PRs can be fixes, improvements or additions to the Halloween aesthetic
- Click 'Fork' on the top right of the repo
- Once the repo is forked, you'll be directed to your personal forked repository
- Click the dropdown 'Code' and copy the HTTPS url for your repo
- In your terminal run
git clone [your repo url goes here]
cd
into the local repository directory- Run
git checkout -b [name of your branch goes here]
- Make your edits and save
- Back in your terminal run
git status
to check your changes have been made - Run
git add [filename goes here]
- Run
git commit -m 'Your commit message goes here'
- Run
git push origin [your branch name goes here]
- Go to your forked Github repo and click create pull request
- Sit back and wait for your PR to be merged
If you find a bug with the website and wish to work on a solution, you'll need to raise an issue.
Simply click on 'Issues' along the top toolbar. To submit a new issue click 'New issue' on the right and provide some information about the issue you'd like to work on.
