Hey, I am trying to use this in conjunction with esphome-basen-bms to get my BMS to talk to Sofar inverter (ME3000SP).
Do you know if I should set the battery type as Lithium General or something else in my inverter?
So far my attempts have not worked, and inverter always shows bms disconnected.

The idea:

1. The state of the Seplos BMS is retrieved periodically using RS485.
2. Selected/Required measurements are passed using CAN Bus to a Victron MP

• Create a capture of the CAN bus traffic
• Get an idea about the used protocol / registers and measurements
• Make sure this implementation is able to pass the same informations via CAN bus
• Add an example of the schematics to the docs (ESP32 <-> CAN)

Hello syssi,

I am new to the yaml file and my job is to read data from a battery with CAN bus. Now i saw your file and it looked like this is what i needed but i dont know of this is for receiving data or sending data? And if this is for sending CAN data how can i recieve this with ESPHome.
Can you help me?
