Excel stores numbers internally as doubles. The changes in dbbab69 etc mean that clj-excel reads numeric cells along with the data formatter such that if you see 1 in excel then you get a java.lang.Long in clojure and if you see 1.5 you get a java.lang.Double.

This behaviour is not reflected on writes because the cell-mutator converts all numbers to doubles before writing.

It would be better if the behaviour was symmetric and that writing a java.lang.Long added an equivalent DataFormat string to the cell's style.

This is complicated slightly by the way excel handles styles at the workbook level (rather than cell) level.

Furthermore we might want to bear in mind the data-format code and logic for reading dates.
