Several dates

Oldorf says: "How about each element has several dates to fill out
Birtday, Birth time, Nameday, Wedding and Event.
Each of the above creates a list that can be expanded (invisible if empty).
Each list has their own set off icons, like balloons for Birthday, A Chearch
for wedding, a babtize font for the nameday etc.
Additional to dates the Birthday and the Event could have a time to fill in so
that one can see when the event occurs and/or when the person was born.
When reading an element from the xml file, each checked date is added to the
apropriate list (Birthday, wedding ...)."

Suppress age for year 0

SanderG says: "the plugin being technically correct, I would suggest that you
could do some black magic to determine if one's year of birth has been filled
out, since it is unlikely that a person was born in the year 0 - and only show
the age and year if it has been entered in the contact, regardless of the
preference to either show, or not show the year of birth & age... if you can
follow me."

Ustice says: "I just realized! Zero is the PERFECT year for a flag! There is a
-1 year (1 B.C.) but there is no year 0. (If only we would have listened to the
muslems sooner...)

if born in the non-existant year 0 don't display. Don't forget that if the
person was born in the B.C. callander, then you need to subtract 1 for the
Year-That-Never-Was..."

Joenas says: "i noticed that there are some "non-standard" characters in your
user name. this could be a problem.

could you try to create new user with "standard" characters, e.g. "test" and
try to start trillian under this user account?"

Print-out calendar

SanderG says: "I put about 80 birthdays in the BDC plugin, of colleagues of
mine, and I want to get a printed birthday calendar (just one page) so people
can verify they are on it. So I would need to convert the XML to a one-page
HTML table with months and dates. Can someone do this?"

Add birthdays to contacts directly

nicohaase says: "thank you, sanderv, its working fine! but one thing would be
fine: could you add a entry to the menu opened by rightclicking on a contact to
add a birthday for this contact? so you could enter birthdays directly
connected to a contact even if this contact has not entered his bday on his own"

American notation

Sjoerd says: "Please, make the order of the text-fields optional, because the
Americans use mm/dd/[yy]yy, while we Dutch use dd/mm/[yy]yy. I myself prefer
the American notation."

Oldorf says: "An edit field for the date format, where the rules are as they
are in Borland Delphi YYYY= four digit year, YY=Two digit year Y=One digit
year, MMMM=Month name, MMM=Short month name, MM=Two digit month name, M=One
digit month name etc. (Write me to get the entire list of macro's
[email protected] )
Mayby even two sets of formats, one for events that are in the lists and one
for active events (the ones in the top)."

YOB incorrect for next year

mblumber says: "Since it's december, i happened to notice that for people who's
next birthday is next year, their age will be 2004 minus their birthyear, not
2003 like the plug-in does. this is an easy fix."

Grouping

Oldorf says: "Additional could be grouping: (empty/no group), Family, Friends,
Celeberties, ... .
The groups should be maintained in the xml file, mayby a group names editor.
An element with an empty group would be placed just below the top of the list,
additional groups are sorted in alphabetic order, the elements in the groups
are sorted as they are now."
