Would it be possible to watch two vods from different users in sync with chat and synced scrubbing?

When rewinding a Vod a lot of time the internal Chat messages Array does not get rewinded correctly.
The result is, that no messages are shown until you reach the timepoint where you rewinded from.

Would it be possible to use this setup in an offline capacity? I'm recording streams using streamdvr on github that uses youtube-dl to record streams but the chat is lost and a tool that parses the chat with offline video doesn't exist yet, other than rendering them side by side live.

Would it be possible for it to be like a Chrome App where you can choose the twitch chat replay export from one of the tools on Python and the streamlink/youtube-dl recorded stream and have them sync up together?

Would it be possible to update the API from v2 to v3? v2 was discontinued some time back and the BTTV emotes currently don't show up using the app.

I found a few examples of v2 to v3 conversion done by others, hope it's helpful.

Is it possible for this to be released on the Chrome Extension store with updated builds?

This extension was really good for vod viewing and stream viewing, you cant find a better one. Too bad its not updated anymore and the newest version doesnt even work. Not even the first one works... :(

This might not be worth it for this little project, but the Code is a mess right now.
There is a lot of refactoring to be done. For example API calls are to be found everywhere instead in a singe module.
Also a lot of the structure choices seem weird.
Chat options should probably be part of a general Options module.
The list goes on...

There is also a lot of duplication, that was introduced when I decided to hack-in Live functionality in addition to Vods.
This can be found mostly in mediatypes.js, video.js, player.js and ui.js.
Also the utils module is overloaded with functionality that does not belong in there.

As you can see there is a lot, so I doubt I or anyone else will ever clean up this project.
It might make more sense to rebuild the whole thing and look at this as a prototype/poc.
