Any plans currently to port this for Plasma 6?

I would like the wallpaper to change exactly once per day, at midnight.

For reference, this is achieved in the default KDE POTD providers by either connecting to a server that provides a different image each day (like Wikimedia), or using the current date as seed for a prng to determine the wallpaper (like Simon Stålenhag's). I haven't looked at Wallhaven's API in detail, so I don't know which approach is needed.

Something is broken with the Positioning setting, at least for multi-aspect ratio displays. Will only get exact aspect ratio matches and will not do scale and crops.

Could you add ability to set user collections in addition to search tags?
I hacked it in for my needs, but it would be nice as a configurable option.

I would like to dynamically set the lock screen image too, I think that just passing the path of the image that is cached can pull it dynamically

Black screen shows up when when its switched to after download/install form configure desktop and wallpaper context menu from desktop.
