Analyze your correspondence
Clone the repo, then npm install
. npm start
to run in prod mode, npm run dev
to run in dev mode.
The latest Mac OSX version is 0.3.2. You can download it here.
- Sign in with your Google account
- Start typing a name or email address in the upper-left search bar
- Click a contact in the left-hand bar.
- Use the date pickers at the top to select a date range.
- Click the "Search" button. Searching will return all emails and chats between you and the selected contact over the chosen date range.
- The upper pane will display previews of all the threads returned by the search. If "Word Cloud" is selected, the lower pane will display the most commonly used words in the correspondence, with more common words appearing larger.
- If "Word Count" is selected, the lower pane will display data and charts about the number of messages and words exchanged.
- Click on a snippet in the upper pane to pop out a window with data about the specific thread.
Privacy note: Your personal data is never sent or stored anywhere but your own computer. ThreadCount simply communicates securely with Google's servers, just like using GMail.
