laravel-docker's Issues

Write permission issues when running Laravel app for first time

Hi!

I'm trying to use this image for development, and my app resides on a subfolder of my home directory. Everyting starts up fine, but when I try to access to: http://{COMPOSE_PROJECT_NAME}.127.0.0.1.nip.io:{NGINX_SERVER_PORT}/ , I got the infamous Laravel write permissions error in /storage/logs.

Despite it's not a bug per se, are you experiencing any write permissions issues (storage folder) if you try to build a laravel application from scratch?

I fixed this situation by doing the following:

# Add UID '1000' to www-data
RUN usermod -u 1000 www-data
# Copy existing application directory permissions
COPY --chown=www-data:www-data . /var/www/html
# Change current user to www
USER www-data

Is that a good approach?
