nexl.bloomberg's Issues

Array data into Excel using RTD?

Hi,

I stumbled upon your blog talking about NeXL with Bloomberg, and you were able to return arrays to Excel through that. Really cool stuff.

But while I was looking at this further I saw someone mention that with the Bloomberg RTD function you can do this:

{=RTD("BLOOMBERG.RTD","","US912828HU78 Govt",{"BID","ASK"})}

And it will populate the adjecent cells with bid and ask just like an array UDF.
(I assume ctrl-shift-enter was used here to enter the formula).

Do you have any idea how Bloomberg accomplishes this?

All I could find on RTD was that you can only return single values with it. How is Bloomberg able to return
an array?

Do you have any ideas how this is done?
