VM setup tutorial?

Hello, I had to delete and reinstall the VM for Stat157, but I ran into some errors.

This is what I input for the VM setup:
Name: Stat157
Type: Linux
Version: Ubuntu
Memory Size: Default (512MB)
Hard Drive: Default (8.00 GB, Create a virtual hard drive now)
Hard Drive File Type: VDI
Storage: Dynamically allocated

This set up the VM. When I opened the "Stat157" Machine, and mounted ubuntu, I got into the screen where you can install ubuntu.

However, I got an error when I tried to install ubuntu onto the machine:
"install --> this kernel requires an x86-64 CPU but only detected i686"

Im guessing that I forgot to change some defaults or parameters, but I couldnt find the VM setup tutorial that was posted here that I used to set it up originally. Could you reupload the tutorial? Thanks!
