apply-thread-prefix's Issues

[Idea/Discussion] Allow thread prefix change in thread view

Maybe there is already a way - keeping in mind I'm an administrator and not a coder by any means - but could we allow the prefix to be set directly in the thread?

Maybe the dropdown box directly in the thread view, between the new reply button and the first post of the thread?

Alternatively a button next to the new reply button that goes to the page, making it a quicker process to change the prefix than scrolling to the bottom and picking from the moderator actions list?

Forums like mine have sections that rely on the prefixes as a status for the thread. Similar to how ticket systems have "Open", "Closed", "Resolved", "On Hold" and various other statuses, I want to create a similar effect in my forum and I'm sure others do too. It would no doubt be much more efficient to have a way to changing this right by the thread's first post itself.

Thoughts?

There is no way to "clear"/unset a current prefix

The list of prefixes only displays prefixes to change to, but there is no option to clear/remove/unset the current prefix.

Leaving the selection box alone, on "Select a prefix", and sending that, renders an error that "No prefix was selected". An option to clear/remove or to change the behavior of the default "Select a prefix" selection of the dropdown box to clear it, would be a fantastic enhancement.
