crccheckcopy's Issues

The verification report does not have the closing text and looks incomplete

During verification, the verification report should start with
"Start of error report" and end with "End of error report".

We have an incident where the closing text is missing and the file looks incomplete.

Please use this updated version to check if the problem persists.
CrcCheckCopy-v2.7 beta.zip

  • Please run the verification against the same folder where the scan was done. Does the issue appears when the same folder is used?
  • Please submit the CRCstamps.txt and the verification report and a screenshot of the last part of what the program outputs to the screen screen.

CRC checking speed seems to be limited to 1Gbit/sec

I found your great tool but one fist use and I realized it's limitation.
I have 10gbit connection to NAS and want to do checksum of folder structure of total 40TB.
But the tool seems to be self limiting to 1gbit/s.

Can this limit be lifted? Total Commander checksum tool will utilize all 10gbit/s available to it.

Traffic is routed through correct LAN adapters so it looks like a limitation of your software.

Add parameter to force a specific directory separator character ( "/" or "\" )

so that the CRC stamps file is portable between MacOS and Windows.
E.g. comparing/verifying the files of a USB drive or SD card on Windows and on MacOS.

The parameter will force a specific separator.
For the verification phase, maybe add an autodetect function so that Windows and MacOS CRC stamps files can be used without caring about this parameter.

leading / in the paths of the crc stamps file, on MacOS

On MacOS:
In some cases there is a leading / in the paths of the crc stamps file, while in some others there isn't.

E.g.
from a desktop folder,
“/my folder name/sub folder/file name” .....

But on a CrcStamps file from an sd card, these lines written as:
“my folder name/sub folder/file name”

To make sure this is harmonised. The paths in the CRCstamps file should be relative, so no leading slash (Mac) or backslash (Windows).
