For some reason FroyVisuals.apk has zip file mime type. rigid said Opera changed the file's extension to zip, and someone in #wowuidev said that Android Chrome also changed the extension to zip. This is likely an easy fix, but I can't wrap my head around thoughts tonight...

the build system should be cleaned up (at least in master). So:
"make" builds an unsigned release apk
"make sign" signs an unsigned apk
"make debug" builds a debug apk
"make install" installs a release apk
"make install_debug" installs a debug apk

and maybe:
"make install_simu" installs on a simulator instead of a physical device
"make install_debug_simu" same as above but for debug apk

the current input actor (ALSA) doesn't work flawlessly due to permission problems. It should be replaced by something that uses the "android way" for capturing audio.

currently performance is kind of poor. The code should be profiled/analyzed to identify bottlenecks.

it would be nice if preferences showed available input-plugins and lets the user select the one to use (maybe even with arguments to select e.g. the alsa device?)

the titlebar should be removed to have more "fullscreen experience"

There should be some sort of "help" dialog shown at the first launch and/or choosable from the menu. It should show

• the license of FroyVisuals and libvisual
• some sort of introduction (how else would the user know she can "wipe" between actors?)
