Can you enable guest checkout per default? (via backend config option)

We have seen that many customers don want an account. They just want to order. And this is 1 step less .....

You could add a link that says "create account" and this then shows the password option???

Can there be an option that if/when a user enters an email adress that the backend checks if there is an existing customer already with that address?

Can you move the email field as the number 1 form option? And onchange saves the value to the database?

This way we can follow-up people faster with abandoned carts .... there is an article somewhere it universal checkout conversion best practices ... setting the email field as the first field to fill is one of them

This really drives conversion and an account is automatically created

Hi, I was testing http://dem0step.atmagex.com/checkout/cart/ or our implementation

For example in the Netherlands we dont use the option "province, build + room' ..... and I though default Magento does this fine (the not showing in some countries)

Is this something we could add on a per country basis?

One small remark. I was searching for the payment options .... would be great if they could also be moved a little ... (because I at first couldnt find them)

Why not in the form above the cart where the rest is + ad a button PLACE ORDER next to it

Now people have to scroll all the way to the bottom .. to find the button PLACE ORDER

Would be nice i the same button was shown directly in/near the form that is used to enter all the data

An I will test it later on our DEV server if this works together. One o the most important things for us is to know if it works responsive ....

What you could use this in combination with a product landing page? Say you had one specific type of product and you wanted to display the product information, description, etc. all crafted into a beautifully designed landing page minus the Magento header and footer. A neat way to increase conversion rates would be to have checkout incorporated right into the product page.
