GetColumnData() in dcm_tree_model.cpp has:
std::stringstream value_ss; PrintValue(value_ss, data_element); column_data << QString::fromStdString(value_ss.str());
which may give wrong characters.
Please setCodec which is specified in SpecificCharacterSet tag.

As of now, I do not see explicit support for reading private tags. Are there plans to add this (i.e. going via the associated private creator instead of giving group and element number directly)?

I am working on an academic project, and I would like to use dcm library. What is the license? Would you consider BSD or MIT license?
