Was thinking about a different way to have a friendly spotify bot and realized there had to be a solution that just leveraged Spotify "devices", found this and had it working in a few minutes. Then I noticed that the volume was painfully low. At 200% volume in discord it just wasn't anywhere close to native spotify. I suspect this might have something to do with the volume boost you can select within Spotify clients. No biggie, but would be something to dig into,

Instead of searching and playing YouTube songs with the same name, that sometimes have annoying intros you could play the real spotify song.
There are multiple libs out there for other languages:

• librespot rust
• librespot go
• librespot java

Sadly they only work with Username + Password but they work with OAuth token under the hood so it might be possible to use them as a playback device and potentially maybe increase performance

In line 100 of core.ts you are initializing regex every time you call the function which is very expensive.
Instead you should create constants at the top of file.
