heya, so in a branch of my standalone programmer library ive merged in enough

to allow read/write/verify of flash and fuses (eeprom not done yet)
good news: it works
however, its...kinda slow. its using a hardware serial port for uart-updi, and honestly pymcuprog is quite slow, now that ive test it. 8K of flash takes almost 30 seconds, whereas single-wire-bitbang SWD programmers we've done take less than a second!

so my question is:
the megaavr core programs 8k in 8 seconds with the python 'serialUPDI' tool which is "Based on pymcuprog, with significant modifications" - why was pymcuprogs updi programming so slow, what got fixed in serialUPDI?
