twentysecondscurriculumvitae-latex's Issues

Remove active content

While trying to upload the file to specific on-line portal, I got an error because content with active contents were not accepted. Is there a way to generate the file without active content from Latex? I've later post processed the file with Acrobat which was able to solve the issue but the quality of the file has degradated at the end of the process. I would like to solve this issue without decreasing the final file quality. Thanks.

Add a Footer

Hello,

How would you add a footer? Lets say that I want to add the compiled date, or version.

Thank you

How to change 'cvname' font size ?

Hi,
I am using predefined "cvname" element to write name but its a little bit larger and crossing the profile region(left side region). I am using like this.
\cvname{MY Name Here}

How to change 'cvname' font size ?

Code explanation (possible not needed extra code)

Hello,

this is a question rather than an issue. Are both 96 and 99 lines in the class file needed? Line 96 defines a new command and line 99 redefines it. Is there a reason for that?

Furthermore, are those lines needed? This command is not used anywhere.

Can't remove space before items

Hi,

I tried to add items in the 4th argument of the \twentyitem and I always get a big space before and after. Even when I write topset=0

\usepackage{enumitem}

\begin{twenty}
  \twentyitem
    {1900}
    {Alice in Wonderland-The Circra (1900's) Silent Film.}
    {Film}
    {\begin{itemize}[noitemsep,topsep=0pt]
         \item Item 1
         \item Item 2
         \item Item 3
     \end{itemize}
    }

I wasn't able to get the part in the cls that block this feature. Any idea ?

My final goal is to use multicol to get short terms in small space

Thanks

Add Logos to TwentyItem

Hey! Thanks for the great work! I'm building my resume and a nice addition would be to be able to add logos (of the university, company, etc.) to each item, do you think you can do it?

upload to CTAN

You may have your reasons, but I and so many others would be grateful if you had to upload your great package to CTAN!

customize icons to add Stack Exchange, GitHub, etc

Adding a GitHub icon to the left sidebar is simple.

  1. Duplicate the lines containing cvsite.

  2. Replace it with cvgithub.

  3. Edit the line in the tabular env like

    \ifthenelse{\equal{\givencvgithub}{}}{}{\textsc{\large\icon{\faGithub}} & \href{https://www.github.com/\givencvgithub}
    {\givencvgithub}\\}

\newcommand{\cvsite}[1]{\renewcommand{\givencvsite}{#1}}

\newcommand{\givencvsite}{}

\begin{tabular}{p{0.5cm} @{\hskip 0.5cm}p{5cm}}
\ifthenelse{\equal{\givencvdate}{}}{}{\textsc{\Large\icon{\Info}} & \givencvdate\\}
\ifthenelse{\equal{\givencvaddress}{}}{}{\textsc{\Large\icon{\Letter}} & \givencvaddress\\}
\ifthenelse{\equal{\givennumberphone}{}}{}{\textsc{\Large\icon{\Telefon}} & \givennumberphone\\}
\ifthenelse{\equal{\givencvsite}{}}{}{\textsc{\Large\icon{\Mundus}} & \href{\givencvsite}{\textcolor{cerulean}\givencvsite}\\}
\ifthenelse{\equal{\givencvmail}{}}{}{\textsc{\large\icon{@}} & \href{mailto:\givencvmail}{\givencvmail}}
\end{tabular}

How can I add my Stack Exchange profile, which has two arguments (user name and user ID)?

Sidebar is only shown on first page

My CV just won't fit on one page. The content for the second page is in the correct location, but the sidebar on the left side of the page is not colored gray.
I would appreciate some help, so that I can modify the template, so that the sidebar will be shown on all pages. It would be useful if only the name is shown in the sidebar on the second page though.

Thanks in advance, Philipp

And thank you for this great template. I really like it.

Implementation of the alternating colors for the nodes of the section titles

I think the following code is intended to alternate the color of the nodes containing the first three characters of the section titles. However, this approach only works for the first five sections.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Section Color box %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\newcounter{colorCounter}
\def\@sectioncolor#1#2#3{%
{%
\round{#1#2#3}{
\ifcase\value{colorCounter}%
maingray\or%
mainblue\or%
maingray\or%
mainblue\else%
maingray\fi%
}%
}%
\stepcounter{colorCounter}%
}

Of course, it could easily be expanded, but wouldn't it be more elegant to use something like this:

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Section Color box %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\newcounter{colorCounter}
\def\@sectioncolor#1#2#3{
  {%
  % Switch between blue and gray
   \round{#1#2#3}{%
      \ifodd\value{colorCounter}%
        mainblue%
      \else%
        maingray%
      \fi%
    }%
  }%
  \stepcounter{colorCounter}%
}

how to change icons

I don't know how to change icons for example @, /Telephone , \Letter etc.. for my custom from font awesome in twentysecondcv.cls , please help me, I wont to change about me to Über mich, but umlat don't work

Make picture optional

Sometimes it is required to send a CV without picture, age, gender or nationality to avoid disqualification by discrimination.

So it would be useful to have the possibility to avoid putting the picture field when building the profile. Currently, LaTeX rises an error when the \profilepic command is not used.

Time column is not enough for months

Width of time column is not enough for dates with month. Assuming description will be longer than date line, breaking the date line when there is not enough space may be an idea.

Typo paht_name in README

README states \profilepic{paht_name} which should be \profilepic{path_name}

Thank you for producing this CV template. I particularly like the way you have handled skills listings.

Change the name of the blocks

Hi,

I was wondering if you could provide me with some help on how to change the names of the different blocks ("About Me", "Skills", etc,...). I was hoping to adapt them a bit more to my resume.

Thank you,
Thibault GERARD

Section Headings

Upon reading the comments in the code, I am unclear on how to remove the bubble on the section headings. Personally, I would like to remove the bubble effect altogether, but I have not had any success in resolving how to remove the bubble. If this could be documented better if feel it would give people more freedom to work with the section headings.

In the following defines that the first #1 and second #2 characters of the heading are to be replaced with round bubbles in alternating text colours.

% [...]
% the following reads from line 252, in twentysecondscv.cls
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
% Section Color box %
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
\newcounter{colorCounter}
\def\@sectioncolor#1#2{
  {%
  % Switch between blue and gray
   \round{#1#2}{%
% [...]

However, removing #1 and #2 will break the heading, and inserting a #0 breaks the heading also.

Commenting out the \round{} also has no benefit.
