node-red-contrib-colorspace's Issues

Add RGB565 colourspace

Hello

Is there any chance you can add RGB565 to your node's output options?

http://www.barth-dev.de/about-rgb565-and-how-to-convert-into-it/

http://drakker.org/convert_rgb565.html

I'm going to try to create a function node to do the task, but I thought your node would make the whole process much nicer.

This formula seems to be discussed in many posts
rgb565 = ((rgb888.r & 0xf80000) >> 8) | ((rgb888.g & 0xfc00) >> 5) | ((rgb888.b & 0xf8) >> 3);

I've tried to get this working in a NodeRed function node, but I don't think I have the skills to master it.

FYI

I'm injecting these colours into an M5StickC-Plus for background and text colours

Purely info on what I'm trying to achieve

m5stack/M5StickC#166

Pass original message

Hi,
Thanks for your useful node, I'm trying to use it with Alexa but noticed you create a new payload.
Would it be possible to add your data to the existing msg so I can for example read the info from Alexa -
command: "SetColorRequest"

I believe its a node red standard to add extra info rather than replace the msg.

Thanks

RGBW not working properly

When passing example

"rgbw": { "red": 40, "green": 94, "blue": 0, "white": 100 }

only exact rgbw is returned.

The expected behavior would also return all other types.

Add RGBW Support

Would it be possible to add RGBW support? I'm looking to use the conversion for LED lighting and this would be really helpful. I'm not certain of the maths, but there seems to be some relevant discussion here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/21117842/converting-an-rgbw-color-to-a-standard-rgb-hsb-representation
Also, see line 242: https://github.com/iamh2o/rgbw_colorspace_converter/blob/main/src/rgbw_colorspace_converter/colors/converters.py

It looks like the white channel is used to offset some of the scaling on the RGB, but I'm not really there with the maths side. Perhaps it makes more sense to you, and if so it could be an easy add?

Many thanks,

Tim
