ipmi-kvm-docker's Issues

Recreation of this container for ARM?

I would like to set this container up on a Raspberry Pi4 and was hoping someone with the know-how could recreate this image to work with ARM based processors.

Readme cleanup and additions for new architectures

Hey @solarkennedy are you okay with it if I cleanup the readme and add some more instructions for additional architectures? I just added armhf and I'd like to add arm64 in the near future.

Also, the Docker Hub build needs to be updated to the latest commits ๐Ÿ˜„ I can do that too if you'd like.

IcedTea plugin breaks functionality

What is the reasoning behind switching from oracle-java7-installer to icedtea-7-plugin? The plugin is no longer installed in Firefox after this move.

I've been working on some small user experience tweaks such as Java setting defaults and I came here about to submit a pull and noticed the Dockerfile is all switched up and core functionality is broken. :)

Request: specify custom resolution as a Docker environment variable

I have a feature request that I've actually already implemented and done some initial testing on (for the armhf architecture, at least) in my own fork of the project: specifying the resolution via an environment variable when running the container.

My solution would be run like this (and is already mentioned in the README): docker run -p 8080:8080 -e RES=1600x900x24 solarkennedy/ipmi-kvm-docker

In the event that the resolution isn't specified, the current value of 1024x768x24 would be applied by default.

no iKVM64 in java.library.path

Hello, did you get the image work on the apple m1 silicon chips? I used Dockerfile.arm64 to build the docker image, but I'm getting the error no iKVM64 in java.library.path.

no_iKVM64

Thank you!

Not an "issue" ... but here's something you dropped, your majesty : ๐Ÿ‘‘

I've been trying to find a working solution for these ancient java kvm's that works. For YEARS. FINALLY. Excellent execution!

Java crash on HP DL360G5 ILO

Hallo,

we just tried this on a HP DL360G5, but Java crashes with the following error:

Do you know how to fix this?

Mebus

Run with --net=host break access to vnc viewer

Running docker with the following example breaks access to vnc viewer:
docker run --rm --net=host -d --name ipmi-kvm-docker --hostname ipmi-kvm-docker solarkennedy/ipmi-kvm-docker

Any suggestions how to use tunnels in localhost?

xdg-open on mac

On mac .. if you dont want to install all kinds of things..
open http://127.0.0.1:8080 works, would be nice with a little comment about that, as I went on a google spree to get xdg, until I found out i can just type open.
