Hi Sifo, I have watch you video on youtube about how to unlock western digital drive on linux, and tried to apply to my Toshiba 2tb HDD, i did everything that you mentioned and got this message below, can you or anyone tell me how can I access my hdd drive. I do not even need the files in drive I just need to access drive to partition it and format it, please advise me. Thanks

Is it still possible to unlock when your password contains a "!" and "/" ?

First, I would like to thank Sofiane for posting this. It gives me some hope.

Second, do anyone knows why I am getting this message and how I could go around it?
I run out of options in my searches.

When i try to run this command i receive the following error:

I´m sure that dev is sda. Any idea?

I do every thing fine until i iam writting the password on hard

I have an issue with the creation of the file passord.bin
The file is empty (0 bytes) but you mentioned that the file should be 40 bytes

I still tried to proceed with the other commands. And on the last command, I received the following error message :
/dev/sdd: No such file or directory

Are you using Xfce ?
Try to install these 2 packages : gvfs and thunar-volman ( sudo pacman -S gvfs thunar-volman )
restart you pc and do that again !

I am on Nobara (Fedora 37). The program used to work perfectly fine on Ubuntu 20 but it is unable to work on this distro. The issue is similar, after doing the aforementioned steps I get "SCSI: Status Good", it even appears on my file manager but I am unable to access it as seen below:

Also running the "lsblk" command gives the following output:

Bravo pour le partage!! J ai bloqué mon disque dur avec toutes mes photos depuis des décennies.. et je cherche désespérément à accéder à mon WD MYPASSPORT. J ai suivi la marche à suivre et merci !! Sauf qu'à la dernière étape je suis bloqué voici "authentification failed" "illégal request". Je suis en live usb ....comment pourrais je stp le résoudre? Merci mille fois !!
