blackboardenhancementsuite's Introduction

Synopsis

โ›๏ธ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป๏ธ An explorer/navigator of technical realms. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป๏ธโ›๏ธ

Personality

  • ๐Ÿ™‹ I am never afraid to look stupid by asking a stupid question.
  • ๐Ÿป I am friendly. No matter the topic, I always try and make the other people involved feel comfortable and welcome. I like to help people.
  • ๐ŸšŠ I love to be challenged/questioned - this is how we find agreement and learn! I believe that I should always be able to make a strong case for my stance and change it when there's new information.
  • โ˜ฎ๏ธ I can never hold a grudge. I think caring makes people better more than anything else, and that it's true that "love conquers all". We are all just humans trying to do our best with the time we have.
  • ๐ŸŽฏ I am goal-driven. There is nothing that motivates me more than having a task (of any sort) that I can show my worth on. I do like to imagine and push towards utopia occasionally, but goals keep me moving.
  • โ›ฐ๏ธ I love to go outside my comfort zone and try a new challenge. The more unfamiliar, the better. While I'll ask people questions when it saves time, I'm very comfortable on my own.

Some things I've learned

  • โ›๏ธ Just because a solution works doesn't make it the right one - consider all the factors to avoid a maintenance nightmare
  • ๐Ÿ““ The most important part of finding a solution is understanding the problem fully
  • ๐Ÿ™‡ Always look for things to learn from all others. If you assume you're gifted, you'll be humbled and won't learn - if you assume your skills are meager, you'll learn and be rewarded
  • ๐Ÿ™‚ Every tool you use has its own cost - keep things simple
  • ๐Ÿ”„ Every successful relationship requires two-way communication/collaboration, whether with customers, those reporting to you, teammates, or personal relationships - simply creating products, policies, standards without allowing feedback and changes sets both parties up for stress and difficulty
