barter's Issues

Add search bars to Admin table views

For admin dashboard, I think we should add a search bar on top of respective table views (user, skills, boards) that can quickly filter the amount of rows displayed. Preferably we implement some Ajax to filter in real time.

Groups

Groups to house profiles

Meeting notes

  • Capitalize in 'Agreements proposed to You'
  • Change profile name to select from a set of fun phrases
  • Change 'Edit user' to 'Edit profile' Registrations#edit
  • ON first signup have some sort of guide that takes you through process
    • javascript walk through
    • video
  • add gravatar support to simulate agreement flow
  • collapse two tables on dash to one table
  • Boards#index 'Be neighborly'
  • Boards#index add map view and list view
  • Boards#show go back to Boards#index
  • Boards#index search function
  • Wireframe user signup

Feature(s) needed?

Ok this is from "my" perspective. Please chime in with a response.

We should have two separate board listings/sections on the dashboard for user, one for matching boards for skills and the other for his/her boards. There should be some indication of new activity to their own boards. Likewise, for any newly proposed agreement or agreement activity. We should highlight any new activities with their agreements and boards.

And lastly, should we have a filter on geographical proximity or location? At least for now filter on city until we implement something more robust regarding geography/geocoding? Just a thought.

Carousel - user flow demo needs update

Tommy, I did a quick wireframe of our workflow with Barter. In doing so, I realize there needs a change to the flow in usage we are showing to the new user. The intro we should be showing should be after new user sign-up, the new user will explore boards and respond to an existing board needing his/her skill(s). The new user will respond via the message board. (Currently, we have the user going right to creating an agreement when in actuality, we should show user responding to an existing board.) Then the "other" user (who he/she has responded to) will see the new board entry on their dashboard. It is "that" user who will initiate (create) the agreement and its details. Then when the new user logs back in, he/she will see the newly proposed agreement in their dashboard. New user can then view the agreement and either edit details (back to other user) or ACCEPT the agreement. Then from there, perform the respective services. Then they should be going back to their respective dashboards and marking each of their side of the agreement as COMPLETED. => Happy Barter members!

Can someone confirm to me that THIS (above) is the correct user flow for Barter? Thanks!
