Sorry for opening a new issue, but I can't find a contact to you.

I have an older DSC Classic PC585 (I think it's pre PowerSeries model). Maybe this code would work with my alarm too. I wanted to buy an Envisalink/DSC IT module, but I am not sure in the compatibility & they are very overpriced. And DIY is always fun.

• It is required to disconnect the power from the alarm before connecting to yellow&green cables? If it is not required, I would connect from the keypad which is closer to me.
• It is possible to arm/disarm the alarm this way?

Hi sjlouw,

I had a couple questions about your project. I am currently using it to decode my DSC PC1832 Panel and although I am able to get data, I feel that the code maybe missing bits that are coming in and it seems to be giving me the wrong messages. Also it doesn't detect when I press a button on the keypad, or it detects that I have push the panic button, etc. when I just push a number. I was thinking it may be a timing issue and I've been trying to follow the forum that this is based off of to understand the protocol but my thought process may be off. Any info you may have that can set me straight would be helpful. Thanks in advanced
