  • AWS Cloudformation

Features:

  • Cloudfront -- HTTP 2.0 enabled -- IPv6 enabled
  • Worldwide distribution

How to

  • Apply route53-zone.yaml for the domain.
  • Apply s3-static-website-with-cloudfront-and-route-53.yaml for each subdomain need:
  • Upload your index.html to the S3 bucket

Your website is provisioned.

Why S3 will have public read right?

The S3 bucket will have public read right. Have you consider disabling that and just give CloudFront principal read access and listing for the bucket? Also S3 does not need static web hosting (index.html and error.html definitions) for CloudFront origin at all.
