Had a prompt to update on my Watch. Updated. Watch usually lasts a full day on a full charge. After updating it went from full to dead in a little over 6 hours. Charged the Watch and checked battery settings. Simplewear was at the top of List.
Rebooted Watch, fully charged and wore it yesterday. Battery dropped to 15% before bedtime (I usually get to round 65% this time). Gave it a charge to 90% before putting it on to sleep. Woke up this morning Watch was dead (checked settings after giving charge). Battery lasted 6 hours with Simplewear being at the top of list consuming most Battery. I've un-installed for now and will see if the app was root cause but can't think of anything else that would affect my battery since this was the only update I had over the weekend.

The app works perfectly on my GW4 and Poco F4, except that I cannot seem to control my mobile data anymore, this could be an android 13 thing.
Here's the logcat from the watch - https://pastebin.com/udGZFhUEn
The toggle just goes back to what it was for the first time, doing it again causes the toggle to change but the changes do not reflect on the mobile
From several updates to this part the tile on the watch does not automatically update the battery status when it is displayed, forcing me every time to have to tap if of it and open the app
Hello, I've downloaded the secondary app and when I try to do the adb procedure to enable the settings, it cannot execute the 'grant' command to enable the permissions.
My smartphone is the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G and my PC is Windows 10 21H2. I have used adb in the past with my old smartphone and I do understand it a bit. But I'm not figuring out what is going on here.
I have tried both the batch script that you have provided and manually copying and pasting the commands.
I've tried to build the app to try to explore ways to fix the #32 but build failed on
import com.thewizrd.shared_resources.wearsettings.PackageValidator
in wearsettings/src/main/java/com/thewizrd/wearsettings/SettingsService.kt
because no such file is present in the repository
i have installed the app on both watch(watch 4) and phone (A13) (Also installed Simple Wear settings and granted root permission) and granted all permissions. I am on v1.13.0 and watchUI 5 (galaxy watch 4 classic BT) and since the update to watchUI 5, I am no longer able to open media controller by clicking on the tile. See video.
Need help
The Play store listing for SimpleWear indicates that the Wear app is not compatible with my Pixel watch (Wear OS 3.5 / Android 11) and does not allow me to install the app.
I tried using adb to install the apk manually. The app launches, but I'm unable to get it to connect. Launching the watch app just shows "Device not connected". Unclear if this is an actual incompatibility or just a result of sideloading.
When it gets stolen, watch can disable the power button with shell commands
Hello, ich have the issue, that on my Galaxy Watch (which comes with a already built in media controller), I cant get rid of the media controller, which is detected as an extra app, that I cant uninstall, without removing the whole app. Is there any way to get rid of it, because it really bothers me and the icon is very low quality too. Srry for my bad english
Hello,
Recently I installed SimpleWear app and the add-on for settings and I ran into a problem with granting WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS secure permission to control some of the mobile settings.
When I run the batch script it gives some error and the secure permission is not granted as you can see on the screenshot.
I have OnePlus Nord 2T 5G with OS version Oxygen OS 12.1 based on Android 12.
Is there any update or solution for this problem?
Thank you.
The issue is probably the same as closed #4
HI i installed the app on my phone but i cant find the app on the play store for my galaxy watch 5 can you help
It would be nice to control the phone low power mode from watch.

Hello,
It would be an awesome feature to let the phone ring at max volume. Yes I know, wearOS already has that implemented, but it uses the phone's ringtone. Setting a custom sound only for finding it would be great!
Happy new year btw!
I'm using Shuttle 2 as my audio player.
Reselecting Shuttle 2 sometimes works but sometimes I get: failed to play please check media queue
Phone is Google Pixel 6 and Smartwatch is Galaxy Watch 5
Issue: toggling hotspot visually turns it off or on on the watch, but it does not change the status of the hotspot on my phone.
โ๏ธ SimplyWear settings is installed and I have gone through ADB to set secure settings

The SimpleWear app on the phone is set up with the watch and everything, however in regular use, it gets annoying that every time I open the SimpleWear app on the watch and it reconnects with the phone, it will automatically send the phone to the app's Play Store page, though the app is already installed on the phone and the watch has successfully connected.
This occurs every time I open/interact with the watch app. The only method of avoiding that bug is using the shortcuts set up on the corresponding tile
Watch: Google Pixel Watch 2
Wear OS version: 4
Watch app version: 1.14.0
Phone: Motorola Edge 40 Pro
Phone Android version: 14
Phone app version: 1.14.0
app can't find the watch even if it is already connected when trying to "Pair with wearOs device"
For the versions up to 1.13.1 the releases page contains three APKs including the phone and watch apps. For 1.14.0 and 1.15 alpha, however, there is only the settings app
Locking the phone with the lock feature from the SimpleWear app disables the Watch Unlock feature from my Pixel Watch 2, as the phone lock feature requires device admin permissions it will disable any other remote means of unlocking the device. Therefore, Watch Unlock cannot unlock the phone when it has previously been "locked by admin." Please change phone lock feature from device admin permissions to accessibility permissions instead, as accessibility allows phone lock to continue functioning as intended, without interfering with Watch Unlock or any other remote unlocking methods.

our media player controller is much better than the inbuilt one! I'm having an issue where it no longer launches your version by default sometimes. Other times it works though, it seems to be a dice roll each time.
I was going to try and make a workaround with Tasker and Autowear but it won't launch the package with the activity attached:
com.thewizrd.simplewear/.media.MediaPlayerActivity
there is an option to launch any app by name, but as your Media Controller shares an identical name to the stock one, it only launches the inbuilt one.
Is there a way to either make your player always override the system one, or to even change the name of Media Controller somehow so AutoWear can trigger to launch your player? I guess that way it could be integrated with more triggers too.
Thanks for your time!
The main app icon looks fine but the dedicated media controller icon in the app menu looks pretty blurry
Awesome app! I just discovered it.
However, I did find it cannot control my mobile data connection on my phone.
The setting, as called in https://github.com/SimpleAppProjects/SimpleWear/blob/master/wearsettings/src/main/java/com/thewizrd/wearsettings/actions/MobileDataAction.kt namely doesn't exist.
My phone is a Pixel 7 Pro and thus allows for multi-sim, meaning that the correct setting for me would be mobile_data1
.
The simplest solution would be to query which mobile_data*
keys exist and simply set them all every time.
A neater solution would be to create a separate setting for each of them, but for me, that wouldn't be necessary.
Finally, we could also have a picker in the settings app on the phone to specify the SIM the watch should control the data setting for.
