Crash when I open notifications or hidden items in settings

Application crashes when I open notifications or hidden items in settings. I guess it can be connected to recent update 6.0.0

I have sent report via Android internal report tool.

Failing to authenticate with trakt.tv

Just downloaded the software from the play store.
clicked the Sign in button
logged into trakt.tv
clicked authorize in the trakt.tv website.
Returning back to cathode it says:
Traktor has encountered a server error, please try again later.

Unable to sync after logging in

Hey, I've been using the app happily for over a year. A few months ago I've been experiencing sync issues. A few weeks ago I decided to logout and log back in the hope that it would resolve the issues. But now it can't sync at all (see screenshot below).

When logging back in it did ask if I wanted to sync my local data to Trakt. First I said yes, but was unable to sync. Then I said no (afaik my local data is now cleared), but to no avail, it still won't sync.

Notes:

It's probably related to the amount of shows episodes 7500+ and movies 500+o I watched, Trakt itself had been slow when browsing my profile/dashboard/progress.
As of October 27 Trakt API is enforcing rate limiting

Episode trailer.

I don't know if it's complicated but it would be nice to be able to see episode trailer, there is a good channel in youtube call Television promo.

Option for choosing startpage

It would be great, if it would be possible to choose the page/list that will be shown on starting the app.
As I do not watch any shows, I do not want to see my empty upcoming shows list every time I start the app.
I would like to see the Movie-Watchlist.

Image poster dont match the movie.

When I am watching a movie I like to find related movies but there is a problem, the title don't match the movie poster. For example the movie is Interstellar but the poster and movie information is for Copadres.

Add ability to Count Special Episodes or Season

Please add the ability to Count Specials on the basis of User's Choice.
Specials are not counted in the Current Version of Cathode, so Statistics are also inaccurate.

Whatching now - bar in the lower right.

I earlier version in what I am playing (the bar in the lower right) it show the poster and the line showing the progress of what I am watching but it also show the name of the movie or TV show and season and episode.
Is this coming back or you what a cleaner bar showing only the poster and progress line?

Automatically remove leading and trailing whitespaces when do search

Now if you copy something and paste to cathode and if this something has leading or trailing whitespaces - no search result. If you remove all these whitespaces manually - search works.

Filter episode calendar by TV show

It would be nice to be able to filter the episode calendar by TV shows, or to disable it altogether. I'm not really interested in knowing when any of my shows are aired, and there is currently no way of disabling this feature, so it generates a lot of unwanted clutter in my calendar.

Alternatively, make the episodes appear in a separate calendar, so I can disable that calendar in my normal calendar app.

Local Language

The app should support local results for search and movie/show informations.
I think the API have an key for the language, so that you can submit the language, that is configured for the devide.

Trakt v2.0

Hi,

It seems that trakt v2 throws an NPE, I've sent the stack through the android report.
I think the new site is supposed to still support api v1 but I don't know.
Tell me if I can help you debug that.

Feature request: Poster and Banner view

Hi,
Just found out about your app and i must say it looks good.
Only thing missing for me is a banner view and poster view.

Genre

Maybe it would be nice if the genre was mentioned in the overview of the movie or series. I just got into trakt and i'm using your app :) does trakt not provide a genre?

display in several languages.

including other languages for displaying descriptions of series or films, and then also synopses of series episodes, would be welcome.

TMDb is a multilingual database. (so available in several languages including French) What I was looking for was the display in French of the synopsis of the episodes and description of the series. I know it is possible to implement it.

Watchlist serie removed after checked an episode

As the title said, if i've a TV series in my watchlist and i check an episode of that serie as viewed...the entire serie is removed from the watchlist and marked as watched

Adding shows to the Trakt Watchlist

Adding shows to Trakt's Watchlist does not work, adding movies does. They only show up in Cathode but not on the web site and after syncing the list, shows I added in Cathode to the watchlist are also gone in Cathode.

Episode date change bug

When an episode date changes the app doesn't update it and it appears also on the calendar with that wrong info.
Even if the date have already passed

Allow adding full show to history

Currently you have to do it by season, this would be nice to be able to do from the main show page.

Sorting Option in Custom List

Sorting By date added, name.

Lollipop

The app is not working propperly on Lollipop. A small list of items seems to work, but with a larger list (>25.000 episodes) the "watched" view loads forever and never displays. Although it seems to has the data (80mb of cache used), it doesnt display. not even after an hour in the foreground.
on kitkat, the same list has no problems.

Allow multi select for adding to history

A long press that brings up check boxes next to the episodes to add to history/collection/list would be nice instead of having to click multiple times per episode. Good for when you've seen half a season of episodes or so.

Check in message not reset for different episode/movie

After checking in to something, the next check in message in the prompt will be that used for the previous item.

Hidden Items Showing Up

Since updating to 7.0.1 any show I hid have started showing up again,

I hid them again in 7.0.2 but they have shown up in 7.0.3 again

GOT upcoming shows is not updated

Episodes 2 & 3 already published in trakt, but in the app there is only one episode..

Need Feature to Hide Shows

People give up on shows. My list is littered with a few shows that I've completely abandoned because they were crap from episode 1 or jumped the shark later on.

Shows with Only TVDB Entry wont show any Images

Trakt gets the Screenshot from TVDB and TMDB.
But Cathode only shows the Screenshots from TMDB.

If a show does not have a TMDB entry, then Cathode won't show the Posters, Backgrounds, Screenshots etc..

Battery usage ?

Hey @SimonVT,

I've sent a report from my device about battery usage, it seems to always be at around 10%, which is well above what I would expect from an app most of the time in background.
Could you check what's going on ?

Add whole season to history is not working

Hi I really like the app but one function is not working. The add to history for a season is not working.

Notifications don't work on android 9

When i disable and then enable notification - they pop up. But on regular basis - no. Thank you.

Watch other date not working

I try the watch other date and it let me go to a calender and time and change it to the date and hours I want but it doesn't save it.

new trakt shows don't get synced

How to reproduce

Log into your trakt account using Cathode
Sync your shows
Start "watching" a new show on the trakt website
Try to manually refresh your shows

The episodes from shows that you already have synced seem to work fine, but new shows never seem to show up for me.

Calendar Feature?

Any plans to include a calendar feature in the future?

Hidden titles in "Upcoming" started appearing

Since the weekend, the shows I have hidden in the upcoming (hidden in the trakt website) started appearing on the app. Did something change?

Watching now button.

I love the watching now button at the bottom right and when I press it, it take me to the movie information or to the episode information but when I see the episode information I would like to be able to press the name of the show so it take me to see the show information and see other episode.
