Can you please add U06AA in this font?

The dots of U+067E and U+06CC collide in the following examples:

1. U+06A9 ARABIC LETTER KEHEH + U+0654 ARABIC HAMZA ABOVE
   Expected (for kashmiri word کٔٹ, with Noto Nastaliq)
   
   Actual:
   
   The hamza goes to the right for some reason.
2. U+06CC ARABIC LETTER FARSI YEH + U+0654 ARABIC HAMZA ABOVE
   This should combine like this: (word is نیٔتھٕر)
   
   But this is how it does:
   
   As you can see the dots expected below the 'ye' are missing.
   There seems to be a general problem with the U+0654 ARABIC HAMZA ABOVE, including words like تٔمؠ , where the symbol goes below the "te"'s dots.

Sincerely hope these issues can be resolved as otherwise this is the perfect font for Kashmiri Perso-Arabic, and incredibly useful as a webfont.

Awami Nastaliq font is not joining the letters to form words in Microsoft office. All letters are written as isolated.

Just noticing (from reports in the CI) that the fstype (embedding permissions) probably needs changing from 4 (Preview & Print embedding) to 0.

I wish for these letters to be added as Malaysians actually use a form of the perso arabic script known as jawi, and ancient texts written in Jawi by hand look very similar to the jawi style, but nowadays is restricted to the naskh style due to no development of a nastaliq font for jawi. Malay is also a south asian language and you can check out jawi here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jawi_alphabet

Kazakh is also written using Arabic script by Kazakhs living in China, Iran and Afghanistan, it would be great if it were also supported.

The Uyghurs in China also use the nastaliq variant of Uyghur arabic.

Hi!

I noticed that Awami is missing support for "U+0A89 ARABIC LETTER YEH WITH TWO DOTS BELOW AND DOT ABOVE". Basically it's missing support for this character which exists in Scheherazade and Lateef. This letter seems to be a part of the Balochi Standard Alphabet, and it seems to represent /e:/.

I was wondering if there were any plans to implement this? Thanks!

This is actually a request not an issue. Recently Balti Graf U 08C8 is added in Unicode 14 version.
Can you please add this alphabet in Awami Nastaliq font? It's shape is similar to Gaaf.

I am using Awami Nastaliq with LuaLaTeX (from TeX Live 2024, updated fully on the date of posting). The placement of diacritics was fine until the last update, but suddenly I started getting incorrect output. I reported a bug on the repository of luaotfload and asked a question on TeX.SE to find out (courtesy: Marcel Kruger) that a recent change in HarfBuzz which requires Graphite to be script-specific has caused this. So in LuaLaTeX terms, simply using Renderer=Graphite doesn't suffice, users have to also add RawFeature={script=arab}. Despite there existing a hack, I think this complicates the use of the font. It would be great if something could be changed at the font-level for it to be easy-to-use as it was before. This isn't really a 'bug', at the most may be a 'feature request'.
