pie-galaxy's Issues

[Amiga] Rocket Ranger no input

Rocket Ranger for Amiga has no input, don't know what it is.

Does the game only listen to gamepad?

Split into its own issue to close milestone

Adding an interactive mode to wyvern?

Hey! I like what you're doing here quite a bit, but I was wondering if you'd be OK with me integrating an interactive mode into wyvern directly. Effectively, I'd expand several of the already-existing interactive things like what's currently in extras or download. I wouldn't want to add something like this if you felt it would be too similar or copying this project, but certain things seem like they'd be much smoother to implement if they were written in wyvern directly, and I think that having this feature would make using wyvern much smoother for the user. Obviously I'd still be happy to add what you needed to complete the retropie functionality for galaxy-pie into wyvern. Great work on this so far, too -- really cool idea to use wyvern for dosbox games on a raspberry pi.

Support GOG Amiga games

Support Amiga games.

Status: Have extracted Wings rom files, and kickrom 1.2, and it works on real hardware.

Just need to check out what is required to run the emulator. And do the same for the two other Amiga games on GOG.

Having trouble installing

I have updated my pi4. However, when I paste the first download command into the terminal, it responds with "No such file or directory". What am I doing wrong? I apologize if this seems like a stupid problem but I have very little knowledge about this kind of stuff.

Support NEO-GEO games with multiple rom files

The following Neo Geo ROMs fail to install from their respective Linux game installers:

  • kof2000 - King of Fighters 2000
  • kof2002 - King of Fighters 2002
  • samsh5sp - Samurai Shodown V Special

Problem possibly due to presence of the following additional ROMs:

  • kof2000n - King of Fighters 2000, The (Non-Encrypted P)
  • kof2k2nd - King of Fighters 2002, The (Decrypted C)
  • ss5shnd - Samurai Shodown V Special (Decrypted C)

GOG Login - wrong variables for wyvern download in setup script

So, I've been trying to login with email/password or code and keep getting Login Unsuccessful, but it seems it doesn't even try to connect. I`ve tried to run wyvern directly from bash, but then I get "-bash: ./wyvern: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error", so I noticed this was downloaded in wrong format.

Exploring the setup script I noticed that the isPlatform variable has a mixed up variable check with the download version; that is, when platform is x86 it is downloading wyvern arm and vice versa. I've inverted the commands, re-run the script and now everything works fine.

Please have a look at it!

Failed to Connect to Demenses.net

I am trying to install this on my Retropie but I see a failed to connect to demenses.net port 443: No route to host error. Can you please update the script?

Can't authenticate

Guys, the install was ok, but when I try to authenticate, using email and password it says authentication unsuccessful, if I try using the code, I get the code (everything after the &code=) paste on the box (I'm using ssh on a MAC) and click on submit, it just sends me back to the email and password authentication screen.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks!

Issues getting current vesrion working

Trying to install on a Rpi400, running RetroPie. Everything updated to latest versions as of now.

I followed the installation instructions, doing it via SSH. This completed, but left me with two issues:

x86 version of wyvern, not arm

Some version of this issue: #14 - the version of wyvern that I got in /opt/retropie/ports/piegalaxy appears to be the x86 version. This just meant that authentication didn't work through the TUI. Running it at the command line gives you this:

$ ./wyvern
-bash: ./wyvern: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

So, I downloaded the arm version from github and that works, and allowed me to authenticate with GOG, using the code.

/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pc/gog folder not created

I was then able to download some game installers and ran them, they unpacked a load of stuff, then returned to the TUI with this message: Unable to copy game to /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pc/gog

This folder exists /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/pc - but the gog subfolder didn't exist. When I created it, the installer completed successfully.

Pie Galaxy not working on Rpi4 with RetroPie 4.6 because of "Wyvern not found" Message:

Hello,

I try to install Pie Galaxy on my Rpi4 with RetroPie 4.6 using the manual installation guide described here on the project page.
The installation script runs fine but as soon as i start RetroPie there is no Pie Galaxy option showing up.
So i tried the SSH way using "~/RetroPie/roms/ports/Pie\ Galaxy.sh" shell command which starts the Pie Galaxy script. But Pie Galaxy presents a "Wyvern not found" message and quits.

Doing further research on the project page i noticed that "wyvern" and "innoextractor" are requirements in order for Pie Galaxy to work. Both are missing on my RetroPie allthough the install script indicates that those dependencys should be installed as well (from: demenses.net).
I am not sure but it looks like the SSL certificates have expired (at least this was the case yesterday). Might be the reason which the depencencys have been skipped?

Anyway, i tried to fix this manually:

  • installed wyvern 1.4.0 using "cargo install wyvern"
  • installed innoextract 1.8 using "apt-get install innoextract"
  • rebooted the Pi

Running the script again still results in "Wyvern not installed". Allthough when I enter "wyvern" in my shell it prints out the wyvern help. So it is definitly there...

What am I missing?
