Empty repository list on kubuntu 18.04 about desktop HOT 2 CLOSED

That list of repositories is tracking repositories that are local to your machine, so it's expected to be empty after install.

The next steps:

• you can File | Add local repository... to locate the repositories on disk
• you can also drag and drop folders from the file manager to track them
• you can select File | Clone repository... to find a repository on GitHub to clone to your local machine

Ahh ok, sorry, it just that the welcome screen is not very clear about that.

What I thought I would see after authenticating was like a desktop version of my github account that could give me quick access to all my repos, not just the ones I'm locally working with.

The main screen options look more related to remote operations with the remote repos than with already cloned ones. The "Add an existing project on your computer and publish it to github" to me sounds more of a create a new repo and push it and not about working with an exiting and already cloned repo.
