git_workspace's Introduction

Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹

My name is Matt and it's nice to digitally meet you! I'm a software engineer working in the healthcare space by day. Outside of my fulltime job, I love to contribute to side projects, tinker with new technologies, bake, grill, garden, read, etc. ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿšง This profile is a WIP so please excuse the clutter as I compose myself. ๐Ÿšง

@shelbourn's Holopin board

  • ๐Ÿ”ญ Iโ€™m currently working on a CLI tool built in Rust
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Iโ€™m currently learning Rust, SQLite, improving my PHP, taking nvim for a test drive (out of all of these, nvim is the trickiest to get used to but I recognize its power ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ)
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฏ Iโ€™m looking to collaborate on project with friendly devs who want to have fun building cool stuff ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  • ๐Ÿค” Codewise, Iโ€™m not looking for help with anything particular at the moment, but I know that Rust is gonna kick me in the brain eventually. But if you are an nvim / vim user and want to drop some juicy tips then I'm all ears. ๐Ÿ˜
  • โšก Fun fact: When I was a teenager/young adult, I was the lead singer in a touring hardcore punk band ๐Ÿค˜

git_workspace's Issues

Fetch / Merge / Pull Commit Comparison for Local & Remote Branches

Figure out a way to view a comparison of master branch info to remote/local branch info during a fetch/merge/pull request.

**_For instance--

Say Nick would like to merge some of his commits to the master branch, but would like to compare the 'master' branch to his 'nick' branch prior to pushing the change.

We need to determine a way to do this through CLI or VS Code instead of having to rely on the web UI every time._**

Create CHANGELOG.md & CONTRIBUTING.md

:: Assigned to Nick ::

Create the following files, add them to the root directory of the branch: Create CHANGELOG.md-and-CONTRIBUTING.md...

CHANGELOG.md
CONTRIBUTING.md

Then submit a pull request.
