Ideally, the day/date white line separator should sit directly below the centre of the time 'colon' separator.

At present, the centre of this colon cannot be fixed because the time string is centred.

The hours, colon and minutes could be on separate layers for finer control.

Day (right aligned)
Colon (center aligned)
Date (left aligned)

The line could be aligned in accordance to the layer properties of the colon layer.
