Hello, I really like this extension very much! The style is so elegant.

I'd like to ask if you can expose an interface or document, as I really want this to work with my saved video files and saved chat logs! Thank you.

Would there be a way to have the chat overlay displayed when not in fullscreen ?

I installed the extension and found it did not work on my chrome.
But working on incognito mode.

With half hour test, I found fullscreen chat box only not show when using Youtube brand account.
After I switch to Google account, fullscreen chat box works again.
(Youtube brand account belongs to my google account)

Can you check it and make it available when using youtube brand account?

Is it/would it be possible to resize the chat box via dragging the edges? I haven't figured out if it's currently a feature, so excuse me if I just missed it.

First of all, I really like your extension. Clean look and very easily configurable, it's amazing !
My only suggestion for improvement would be to be able participate directly from the overlay. Currently, you have to scroll down to reach the original youtube chat and type, send your message.

It would be real handy if a text zone would appear when hovering the overlay with the mouse in witch you could type your text to send it to chat.

I found this issue when I switched the stream from one monitor to another.

If I drag even further right, then I will not be able to see the chat.

It will be great if the current settings (position, font size, etc) are stored proportionally based on the size of the video player.

When pressing CTRL + ALT + C the overlay doesn't toggle.

Expected behaviour: the visibility of the overlay is toggled when pressing the key combination

I can confirm this behaviour on Chrome and Brave.

I noticed that when I go into the YouTube fullscreen while having the Enhancer for YouTube Chrome extension enabled, YouTube Chat in Fullscreen doesn't show up at all. But if I disable the extension, reload the page and go into fullscreen, YouTube Chat in Fullscreen shows up again. So there seems to be some kind of compatibility issue between YouTube Chat in Fullscreen and Enhancer for YouTube (despite not really overlapping in function).

In some chats, the overlay does not appear at all. The following shows up in the console:

The runs property simply does not exist on this message.

To be honest, I've no idea what kind of message actually causes this. But it looks like some kind of simpleText field is getting pushed as a message. From the above, I looked for "Pokioo" on the page and found that it looks like the super chats have that text in them:

Not sure if this is an update to YouTube that caused this to break, or what, but it seems to completely cripple the overlay.

Thanks for the great work. The extension works perfect on Chrome. However, I just found the "Ctrl + Shift + y" shortcut conflicts with the default shortcut in Chromium Edge. Is it possible to customize/remap the Keyboard shortcut?

It will be very cool for people that have Ultrawide monitors.

I'm using the extensions "Youtube Chat in Fullscreen" and "YouTube Live chat filter", but "YouTube Live chat filter" isn't valid when watching in full screen.
How can I enable two features at the same time?
Please tell me.

Would you mind packaging up a version for firefox as well? I don't think there will need to any changes but I'm not sure if I missed something. I followed this article to make a local version and it seems to work.

Firefox requires extension be signed (outside of dev/nightly builds of firefox and temporary debug addons) which should happen automatically if you upload it to the extension hub

According to this tutorial and this article the applications.gecko.id field in manifest.json will get set for you automatically when the extension is signed for you. To test it locally, add this applications.gecko.id field to manifest.json,

build and zip up the extension, set xpinstall.signatures.required to false in about:config in firefox dev or nightly, and drop the zip into about:addons.

(this article looks like a good source for info on cross-browser extensions, not sure if it'll be needed)

It seem that the chat overlay doesn't seem to work with the new YouTube UI change that puts comment section to the side of the video instead. I don't know if this UI is here to stay or if its just an experiment, but want to give you guys the heads up about this.

Hi. I have this extension Chrome but it's telling me ''Refresh is needed''. I have restart my PC, I Refresh the YouTube page, i reopen Chrome but it's still tells me ''Refresh is needed''. When i press CTRL+SHIFT+Y nothing happens. What can i do?

ctrl+shift+y doesn't seem to be toggling the overly, I've reloaded and have reinstalled the extension but I can't seem to get the overly to toggle on.

Hi, could you create settings page to change shortcut or alternative shortcut? I noticed that Edge use Ctrl + Shift + Y shortcut to Open Collections. Thanks.
