Repository for the Game Start Art Gallery piece. Game Start ran in the Latitude 53 Art Gallery in Edmonton, AB from October 7, 2016 to November 11, 2016.
Upon failure to make it to the end of the song, the fail screen will include how much money worth of produce the farm lost. The screen will just time out or upon button press exit, and return to the splash screen.
When the player correctly hits a note they should attain a score multiplier. For each successive note hit the score multiplier should increase.
For each good produce put in the trap door, trap door opening when there is no produce present (good or bad), or bad produce gets into the truck should reset the multiplier and reduce the score by multiplier*10.
We want the driver of the truck to smile when good food in dropped into the truck and frown when bad food makes it through. The truck will also have it's food pile grow as more food is dropped into it. More than 75% Good fruit will show a good fruit pile, 25%-75% will show a mixed pile, and <25% will show a bad fruit pile.
Showing what dance pad coordinate corresponds to which conveyor belt. Explain score and combo multiplier possibly using an animation? Maybe a practice round?
We want our score that is realistically based upon the amount of money from wasted food. The average round of a 80% note completion will generate a score that is approximately the value of wasted food in a year.
If the player makes it all the way through to the end of the song they will be met with this screen. The screen will include the final score of the player, as well as the amount of families the food could have fed for a year. The screen will just time out or upon button press exit, and return to the splash screen.
For other functionality it may be a good idea to keep track of how much bad fruit is let into the truck, so in case the player fails we have a value to use.
The score multiplier will no longer go up by an arbitrary number. This multiplier should be based on our research into how much food is wasted a year. We want to balance it so that an average run of an ~80% note success should have a total score equal to the average amount of money from wasted food a year.
