Damage markers cause crashes when damaging players about gamesneeze HOT 3 OPEN

You may have answered your own question, so does your computer completely lock up and you can't switch to a virtual terminal through ctrl+alt+f{1..6}?

i have some sort of terminal mental illness and I can't write these fucking tickets for shit. by freezing i meant i get like a 20-30 second lagspike of sorts, then i get booted back to desktop

turning off damage markers seems to fix it for me as of now, so I believe there is an issue with said function? also, this ONLY happens on online games. granted, i've only tested valve mm so far, but the game works 100% fine on lan (aim_botz, to be exact).

edit; I would try to debug it and point to the exact place where this issue occurs, however I do not know how to debug on Linux, as I've only recently switched from Windows (and working with msvc).

Yeah, the damage markers are a known issue.
If you wanted to try to debug it yourself, build the cheat for debugging and inject it using ./toolbox.sh -u -bd -ld. Then type c to continue so that the game unfreezes and once you crash, go back to the terminal and type bt to make a backtrace.
